The practice offers both legal services, and mediation. Sarah Clarke is a practicing solicitor experienced in criminal law, family law and civil law.
Sarah graduated in LLB (Hons) in the United Kingdom, she attended the City Law School in London and undertook the barristers vocational course as a member of the Inner Temple. Sarah then practiced as a barrister for much of her career in Chester, Cheshire. In 1997 she additionally qualified as a legal practitioner in NSW. In 2005 Sarah was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Civil division) in the UK in 2010 she was granted authority by the Family Division of the High Court to sit as a part time Judge in family law matters. Sarah qualified both in the UK and in Australia as a mediator. Since 2011 Sarah has practiced exclusively in Australia.
CWL we use a blended process of mediation to great effect. Sarah is a fully Accredited National Mediator, a member of the Resolution Institute and a member of the Law Society of NSW Panel of Accredited Mediators, Sarah is also a member of The Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators.We are also fully trained in the collaborative law process. Sarah is a member of the Collaborative Professionals (NSW) Inc.
The process is safe, controlled, revealing and reflective. It usually leads to agreements, which allow the parties to retain good relationships post mediation.
It can be a faster and cheaper means of reaching resolution than through litigation. Certainly it is less confronting. It is a process very suited to Family Provision Act claims against deceased estates, general family law and civil disputes, including;
Family Law Property & Financial matters on separation and/or divorce
Disputes about work place relations.
Civil disputes, contractual or tortious.
School or workplace bullying and discrimination.
Landlord and tenant disputes.

We happily act for Ex-Pats, or Australians working overseas this means that if you are working overseas we can use Skype to facilitate mediations or take instructions in relation to your legal dispute. At all times applying Australian law and principles. In certain circumstances we can apply UK legal principles as Sarah is dual qualified in both the jurisdictions of Australia and of the United Kingdom.
